    I have been working at Waitrose part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    15% off Waitrose and 25% off John Lewis
    I told them which days I couldn't do and my shifts were tailored around that
    Friendly customers and a great store environment
    Plenty of overtime opportunities

    Cons

    Quite a lot to do and you are constantly on your feet if you're stacking shelves
    A very high standard to keep up with
    Branch managers don't really know you

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

    Competitive pay with a nice bonus at the end of the fiscal year
    Friendly colleagues
    Good discounts and perks
    Overtime available regularly with Sunday being 1.5 pay

    Cons

    Opportunities to progress were not there
    Lack of training in other sections causing pressured overtime and poor flexibility

    Some seemed like they would not help on the shop floor on some occasions when they did not have work to do

    I really enjoyed my time at Waitrose, the Partners were all fantastic with a great atmosphere and it felt like being part of a family!

    - Great hourly pay
    - Facilities like canteen with very cheap, good quality food
    - Feels like the company actually cares about their staff

    Cons

    - Can be long hours sometimes on tills
    - As with anywhere, some supervisors aren't the nicest and can be a little patronising at times
