    They have a lot of different satellite locations within the Human Service Department that you could possibly apply for a position that is closest to your home.

    Cons

    You have to work in a position for one year before you can apply for another position within the county.

    I worked at Wake County Government full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    Overall a great government agency to work for. Good people who really care about public service.

    Cons

    Despite being the senior employee in the division, when the new supervisor arrived it wasn't long before co-workers from another agency were interviewed for positions. I was overlooked a couple of instances, despite having more experience. Even the former direct supervisor would ask me for management advice. Seriously?
