    Pros

Benefits good. Exposed to interesting cases.

    Cons

No raise hospital wide for 2 years. After that raises were minimal. Felt like management at the top was more concerned with their salaries.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Pay is comparable. The Cardiac Care Team is amazing.

    Cons

There are too many holes in the hiring process and orientation process. Leadership in my department is not qualified and will be happy to throw you under the bus even when you are right to save their behinds.

    Advice to Management

What does favoritism be understanding of new employees take into account patients needs

I have been working at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Large employer with satelite facilities

    Cons

Low pay and slow to promote and after promotion will delay pay raise for months, sometimes years and not give back pay after you finally receive your raise.

    Advice to Management

If you want to attract and keep high quality employees, you need to pay them competitive wages and at least pretend you care about them.

I worked at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good patients and some staff

    Cons

Some staff backstab, tattle tells thinking this makes them special. There is very little incentives, 22 cent raise or less, no bonuses, good merit pay , incentives, our insurance is more out of pocket, the cost for insurance keeps increasing , no help for staff, some physicians just want to go surgery, it’s not about the patient but how many patients they can see and how much surgery they can schedule, physicians work past 5 with no regard for their staff either in the office or the OR, supervisors are lazy and come and go as they please but micromanage their staff who are dedicated and work harder than they do. You can’t trust your coworkers because they go to the supervisors and misconstrue and try to discredit other staff members. You get reprimanded for having a snack or something to drink at a desk that doesn’t have any blood borne pathogens or any contamination but the supervisors and other staff with their own little office has their own fridge, snacks and anything else they want to eat while those of us who work our butts off get micromanaging. The CEO needs to support the dedicated employees and clean house by getting rid of lazy supervisors and administration who are lazy and do whatever they want and no one holds them accountable. It’s amazing how much staff gets reprimanded for the simplest of things. You work hard and do a great job but nothing is done to reward those who work hard and continually work without any help because Wake want hire any extra staff to help.

    Advice to Management

Consider your staff and give them a raise and support them by listening to their needs
