    Pros

    You won't be standing around!

    Cons

Staffing is "constrained" at all times, meaning you will always be expected to work short handed. Unrealistic expectations from the multiple management layers above you will soon leave you burned out. You will be expected to thrive on sleep deprivation, hostile work environment from physician's, and a steady diet of misinformation designed to get every ounce of productivity out of you. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for someplace where you will be valued.

I have been working at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Livable city, no traffic. Good schools

    Cons

This place has gone downhill in the last six years. There is no support for faculty engaged in scientific research, resulting in the departure of a large number of independently funded scientists. The ones that are staying here are either on the verge of retirement or cannot leave for family or personal reasons. The last Dean left the school for a better job elsewhere and completely decimated the institution. He himself got substantial raises and bonuses whereas for a while the staff and faculty had to suffer cuts to their retirement. Very low morale and extremely stressful environment. All the administrators care about is their paychecks. The innovation quarter looks all shiny and glitzy from the outside but who is innovating?

    Advice to Management

    Beyond advice.

I worked at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Competitive pay
    Great benefits
    Amazing technicians to work with
    Wonderful clients

    Cons

The business office is very unprofessional. The management pays on favoritism so if you can’t fit in with what the business office does then you’re fired. Inappropriate and vulgar behavior in front of patients and if that’s not your style they bully you until they terminate you. High turnover rates

    Advice to Management

Please clean up the language, professionalism, and don’t believe what all employees say UNTIL you have spoken with the person with the accusations against them. As an equal opportunity employer I would advise you to treat EVERYONE equally instead of the favoritism game you insist on playing. It’s unprofessional and unethical.

    Hard to commute between campuses.
