Not for employees who value work- home balance.

Work from homeWork from homeWork from home is a benefit
Cons
Work from home was incredibly difficult. No leniency on hours, we were expected to print things on our own dime, and cost of living is overlooked. Adtelam has doomed Walden. If you have a second job or have a family steer clear of Walden or any Adtelam school.

Oppressive groupthink nightmare

Relatively flexible with hours and able to work from home on occasion. I can't think of any other pros. Sorry.
Cons
Underuse and undervaluing of people with extensive experience in their fields. Micromanagement instead of leadership and trust abounded. Loads of backstabbing. It might be completely different in a different department, but if they treat some departments/employees better than others and don't realize what's going on, then that is still, overall, lousy management.

Contributing faculty - "valued" only for student retention
May 24, 2015 - Contributing Faculty in Washington, DCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Ability to work from home ... but that comes at a price Some evidence the problems identified below are not throughout the University but are focused in particular programs.
Cons
The price - student work follows a pattern, everything piled on in the last few days of the week. So Mon - Thu, there could be nothing posted, then everything from Fri - Sun. "Management" is limited to making sure faculty sign in the prescribed number of times, respond to 80% of student posts, do not anger too many students. In other words, check-the-box, CYA practice. At the dissertation level, even less regularity. Past a quick training, there is precious little support for faculty and chairpeople are saddled with having to tell the (oh so often) unqualified students that they simply will not be able to finish a doctorate.
