    Pros

One of the better paying companies in the hospitality industry. The offer extra perks like free laundry service. It's a very well kept property focused on great customer service.

    Cons

Be prepared to work extra hours volunteering during the peak times of year which is almost year round. During Christmas he prepared to work shifts around the lobby and pool as an extra point of service.
    No 401k plan!!!

    Advice to Management

Focus in offering a 401k program to your employees!

I worked at Waldorf Astoria full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It was an excellent learning experience, I was able to fully grasp the responsibilities of a billing coordinator.

    Cons

Unfortunately, they are closing for 2 + years for renovations due to new ownership. One issue that I brought to management's attention is the need to train others within the department in order to provide coverage when someone is out of the office.

I have been working at Waldorf Astoria full-time

    Pros

401k matching. $0 deductible health insurance. Lots of opportunity for growth. Discounted hotel rooms worldwide. I love my co-workers, and I'm proud to say I work here.

    Cons

Very poor work/life balance. No holiday pay. Tuition reimbursement could be more substantial, although they would have to actually allow their employees a more flexible schedule to pursue higher education. Frequently lacking the tools necessary to fulfill my job requirements

    Advice to Management

Allow for more part-time or on-call positions rather than consistently overworking a minimal number of employees. Allowing your employees to rest and maintain a life outside of work will lead to happier and more productive employees. Many other companies have already figured this out. It's time to be a bit more progressive.
