    Pros

The people you work with. Good pay for the area

    Cons

6 points for the year. Not a place if you have kids.

    Advice to Management

You really need to teach your function leads how to talk to people.

I have been working at Walgreens Boots Alliance part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good pay Good amount of holidays Flexible hours Great canteen facilities Lots of friendly colleagues

    Cons

Age discrimination (especially towards young workers) Hostile 'professional staff '- ACPTs, Pharmacists and Engineers Management can be unfair and often times lack good communication Lots of over ambitious colleagues clinging onto tiny bits of power from extra responsibilities Working environment can be toxic at times especially due to all the cynical attitudes there Training and NVQ attainment is a sluggish and unorganised process (if you aren't full time it's even worse)

    Advice to Management

Take on employee feedback and concerns in a better way not a closed off forum or a informal meeting where in any concerns raised are shrugged off, belittled or too slow to progress. Rather than picking sides based on favouritism and credibility attempt to mediate situations with a neutral approach Stop promoting colleagues with bad communication skills and assess how they interact with others to make everyone feel valued not just a handful

    Pros

Good pay Product allowance per quarter Get to try new products

    Cons

Need to do stuff around store which is fine but not when you have to do it more than your actual job. Favouritism and cattiness is abundant.

    Advice to Management

Stop showing favouritism and be fair to your staff.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Walgreens Boots Alliance

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Good career opportunities.

    Cons

Unsavoury politics and ego battles abound. They push every woman out who has children whilst she is there eventually. They want you to be married to the company and even years of 12 hour days will count for nothing in their eyes once they decide they're not getting (more than) their pound of flesh. Ruthless and devisive.

    Advice to Management

High staff turnover is an indication you're doing something wrong. Take note of your demoralised staff and conduct exit interviews that you really listen to instead to brushing all the issues under the carpet. It's not normal for people to cry at work because of the way their bosses treat them.
