I have been working at Walgreens full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The health benefits and offers are superb.

    Cons

The salary standard is not equivalent to the type of work they want team members to accomplish.

    Advice to Management

Try secretly visiting stores as a regular customer, familiarizing yourselves with team members and the concealed truths will be told. Take care of team members and team members will take of the valued customers. A salary adjustment is desperately needed for members of management.

I worked at Walgreens full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Moved up from cashier, walked in one day and got a steady job.

    Cons

Everything else. Don't work here unless you have to and are in need of steady pay. Leave when another opportunity arises.

    Advice to Management

Care about the people who work for you. If you are capable of that, everything else will fall in line. If not, good people will continue to slip away.

I worked at Walgreens full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Has good benefits and work is consistent which helps pass the time. Good customer base depending on where the store is located.

    Cons

Alot of times I had to close the store at 10:30pm and wouldn't get out until 11 or later. Then I would have to open the store the next morning. Didn't get much sleep and was stretched thin with only 1 employee sometimes and had to manage the entire store. Then they restructured the store and renamed my position only to find out that they were cutting my pay. I was making more money when I first started than I was when I finished 5 years later.

    Advice to Management

    take care of your employees

I worked at Walgreens full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They offered a good benefits package for me and my family and I liked the training they provided.

    Cons

I always felt like I was working hard for little reward at the end of the day.

    Advice to Management

Please take time and get to know the employees better. Some employees in the pharmacy really don't value their job and it makes it very discouraging for others.
