I have been working at Walgreens full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Love that working to system protocol keeps everything under control legally especially in busy times. Excellent team work allows for better customer service and care.

    Cons

Quality of day to day working environment is so dependent on field management and how they relate/impose corporate information.

    I worked at Walgreens full-time

    Pros

Enough hours given, including overtime pay. You could also work in other stores to get more hours. Opportunity to speak up on issues with manager and weekly team goals is a "thing"

    Cons

This place will drain you physically from working so hard, and emotionally from dealing with customers, some pharmacists or difficult co-workers

    Advice to Management

Hire and schedule more technicians per shift rather than leaving customers in line and staff being overworked

I have been working at Walgreens (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It was easy to get this job. Fast pace environment means time goes by quickly. Coworkers are generally great. Most techs don't realize but you can get a tun of experience if you ask for overtime on other stores. Most stores are understaffed so they'd take you on. Especially if you want to be a pharmacist (not me).

    Cons

Corporate can change regulations and not tell employees until the last minute. The work is redundant. Customer service is the worst job ever. I have learned extreme composure in this job. People are very ridiculous jerks to techs. There any room to grow. Many technicians get certified here but move onto other companies. I don't think weekend work is ideal for long term but it works for some.
