I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good benefits and salary increase. I am a tough guy so the work is not that difficult for me. Flexible hours.

    Cons

Lazy co-workers except some. Mostly females and they do not like to do heavy work like stocking, cleaning heavy oven doors, oven parts, garbage, and chub meat cases. So work can be hectic for a guy.

    Advice to Management

Please keep in mind that most females cannot be equvilant to a tough guy. Please hire more guys when it comes to heavy physical work.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

It's not a mom-and-pop operation so you know that the organization is going to be around forever. It's a salary position so you know your hours won't be caught when business is slow.

    Cons

They always want you to do more with less which means more work and less hours and less help. The expectation is the minimum 48 hours a week but you end up working between 60 and 70 and that doesn't count the extra time you put in for holidays

    Advice to Management

Learn to appreciate your people. The pay isn't the best so sometimes please and thank you go a long way to helping an associate feel appreciated.
