    I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

    Great opportunities and endless possibilities for career development. Walmart is such a big company, you can change jobs every year and stay in the same company

    Cons

    The only con to working for Walmart is the long hours that management is expected to put in. There are times when working weekends and working off days is a must.

    Good bonus Plenty of PTO 3-4 days off per week depending on shift Upward momentum if willing to travel

    Cons

    You are required to micromanage Senior leadership discourages associates (location specific) Days can range from 14-18 hours Associates are typically not engaged due to senior leadership (location specific)

    Advice to Management

    Allow your area managers to identify and solve problems independently. Constant berating and redundant meetings only serve to leave us disengaged and resentful.

      -Departments/small teams worked together well with good camaraderie -Good pay and benefits -Potential to be a great experience if you get the right boss and department

      Cons

      -Corporate Walmart makes day to day life miserable, profits over people -Stack ranking reviews pit every manager against each other, no teamwork -Good ole boy mentality, new managers simply will not succeed -Zero work life balance. ZERO.

      -Rate other's by there merit/success instead of by how often you go to the bar with them -We are people not cattle
