I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The only pros I can really find are that it beats unemployment and the employee discount comes in handy.

    Cons

Walmart is not the best as far as taking care of or caring about the welfare of their employees. I had been there for two years with no call outs or tardies, but when I fell ill I was terminated even though I went through the proper chain of communication and had supporting documentation from my treating physicians. Also, their blackout dates are absurd. You aren't allowed to request any time off during Thanksgiving-Christmas or from memorial day-labor day, so spending any time with family is out of the question as an employee here.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees. Show genuine concern in people and your employment will increase and people will be happy to work for you.
