    Pros

    You form a bond with the people who work around you b/c of shared struggles..

    Cons

    Low pay, horrible hours and conceited management. Also, if you get sick have med issues and miss time b/c of this you can pretty much kiss your job bye bye
     And a doctor's excuse doesn't help your case one bit. Also the health insurance is sky high...very little coverage.

    Advice to Management

    Saying you care about employee well being is one thing, but your actions or lack there of speaks louder than words.

    Pros

    Great team work, management works well with employees, friendly, clean, advancement opportunities.

    Cons

    Not enough pay, only give raises once a year, hardly ever get to work a full fourty hours a week, sometimes not enough hours between shifts.

    Advice to Management

    Make sure employees have sufficient hours off in between shifts. Hold more meetings with staff in your department. Have some kind of award given out once a month to a chosen employee.

    Pros

    - Better pay than most companies.
    - Cross training in other departments.
    - Management opportunities.
    - Very supportive and understanding company most of the time.

    Cons

    - No overtime allowed generally.
    - Poor management can ruin or completely change the working environment in a store during a change in management which happens somewhat often.
    - Sometimes Walmart eliminates positions and shifts leaving you in a tight spot and sometimes loosing up to 15% of your pay. Management can help you sometimes and other times you just have to accept the outcome.

    Advice to Management

    Your company is a great place to work and pays higher than most companies in my state. The only things I would suggest changing/improving are:

    - Bring back the Overnight Stocking program in your Neighborhood Markets you recently eliminated. Day time stocking creates a complicated stocking environment for employees and creates new obsticales for shoppers.
    - Stop moving store management around so often and check their performance more often.
    - Get rid of the customer first scheduling system. The system makes crazy schedules and often schedules people improperly. Managers are tasked with keeping schedule accuracy high leading to them letting customer first schedule people improperly and telling employees to work a verbal schedule instead to help keep the accuracy high.
    - Bring back new hire drug testing and do random drug testing. We have managers that have heavy drug problems and we loose lots of new hires because of drug problems that exist prior to being hired.
