I have been working at Walmart (More than 8 years)

    Pros

There are alot of opportunity with this company. Very diverse and get to experience every walk of life. Get to be a good member of the community.

    Cons

The direction and expectation change per manager or upper management. They stopped caring about the person and started caring about the result.

    Advice to Management

Care about the people Vs the result. Good loyal dedicated people get the result.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The money isn't horrible if you work the right amount of hours. A little more freedom than most. Able to make you're own schedule as long as within guidelines.

    Cons

All about politics and who you know. Rules only apply to some people but ALWAYS to you. Work load is some times unrealistic. Favoritism beyond belief. The "no retaliation" policy is a lie. The "open door" policy is a lie. Get paid every two weeks. Only 10% discount. As manager some weeks work 60-70 hours but only getting paid for your 45.

    Advice to Management

Allow for better work life balance. Go back to being a family oriented company. Get rid of the politics. Believe in second chances for reasonable things.
