I worked at Walmart (More than a year)

    Pros

    My co workers and customers.

    Cons

Management, discrimination, no real opportunity to advance, no benefits even if you work full time hours, they will not give you a full time employee status.

    Advice to Management

Be fair to all your employees, treat them with respect and dignity, and abide by your own philosophy and rules, no exception

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company is know for its benefits. They pay was also amazing. The customers are sometimes amazing. Full time hours guaranteed for full time employees

    Cons

The management at this Wal-Mart sucks. Favouritism can be spotted in every department. We barely received paid time off

    Advice to Management

I think you all should just quit. Or change your attitudes and invest in more paid off for employees. People do have lives

    Pros

You truly can go as high as you want with the company....all you need is a little motivation

    Cons

Severe politics, favoritism like never before, no overtime ever, and short staffing

    Advice to Management

albeit the pay raises that the company is giving to everyone, for those who have worked their way up the food chain and have been faithful to the company are losing their seniority and any reason to stay with the company. It is extremely difficult to make the move from hourly to salaried management unless you have an "in" with an already established store manager.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You can work whatever hours you want, choose the departments you want to work in, get promotions if you want them.

    Cons

The managers treat associates like garbage! The worst associates get away with everything while the good ones are expected to do the work of several people. We never have the materials we need to do our jobs but are expected to figure out how to do it anyway. Safety concerns brought to management are a joke. If they ask you to do something dangerous and you refuse they'll get somebody else to do it. Raises are nowhere near competitive. Working there five years, with the increasing minimum wage negating my paltry raises every step of the way.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to make a total 360 in the way they treat associates. Seriously, the worst disrespect I've ever had to tolerate.
