I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It's a fortune 1 company and opens doors if you do well at your job and network
Shareholders week is amazing and helps boost moral
Discount card, gym membership, and associate store are decent perks

    Cons

-No recognition for your work or effort, if you pick up extra work or take on someone else's responsibilities it will generally go un-noticed.
-Management is out to save themselves not take care of direct reports because of all the organization changes.
-No feeling of job stability or job satisfaction, its clear that you're expendable and will be let you go for any reason

    Advice to Management

Do better for your associates, there's so much push and focus put on the store employees that executives have forgotten their corporate worker-bees. Stop making everyone expendable and letting go of people with high expertise just to be able to cut costs. Invest in management training for corporate, and get ride of the politics and discrepancies between hourly and salary associates.
