I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good company, good culture, great work, high impact and high $ management

    Cons

Brick and Mortar jobs are in question as sales sift to more online- Walmart going through restructuring and job security not may be as good as it once was.

    Advice to Management

Instead of doing job eliminations you should let people go due to performance. This will eliminate the baggage and keep people that add value.

    Pros

Very autonomous, transparent, no shortage of work to be done!! Great people working there, everyone is incredibly friendly :)

    Cons

Need to embrace technology more, still fairly old school way of doing business, which can be ok at times but frustrating at others

    Advice to Management

Upper management says ecommerce is a focus but day to day it is brushed aside

I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

You will learn a lot. Take it all in.

    Cons

They are slave drivers. You work all the time. Right now they hire the most qualified for who will work for the least amount of money. You'll be fine if you're the Yes Man type. Don't question the authority or you're argumentative.

    Advice to Management

Walk the talk. So much hypocrisy.
