    Cons

Working 40 hrs per week yet still deemed part-time
No benefits until status is changed from part time to full time..been there 1 year

    Advice to Management

Way too many managers with their style/ways of doing things
Need more structure amongst managers...to get them all on one page.

I have been working at Walmart (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy to promote, pays very well, quarterly bonuses, after 90 days you receive a 10% discount card on general merchandise

    Cons

Very stressful, very strict, environment changes with the high turnover rate in management, constant changes in job processes from corporate

    Advice to Management

Be as consistent and fair to all employees, hold high standards but praise your employees when there met or you will lose morel.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good team atmosphere. Flexible hours and not usually a problem requesting certain days off. Decent pay for what you do. Overall not too bad.

    Cons

Working in the blistering heat, or the frigid cold tests your endurance. Some of the managers seem to be disconnected to other employees.

    Advice to Management

Only thing I can think of is to have a more selective hiring process. Also if you change a schedule, please notify the employee immediately.

  10. "I worked at a training store which sucked, because some managers/csms would let you do things, others wouldn't."

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay, not busy all the time, pay can go up to $10 an hour, most people are nice or don't talk to you, hour lunches

    Cons

Not enough csms, csms have to do everything from opening drawers to aborting a transaction, managers are rarely where you can find them, moving up is difficult, some favoritism

    Advice to Management

Get more csms!!! And try to listen to employees... It's not okay when I'm told I can have a day off and the next week it is taken away from me because someone forgot.
