I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I started at Walmart at 16, great first job to start out with. Learned a lot within retail.

    Cons

Not the job to have if you're into customer engagement, interacting with people. Which is not Walmart's forte. It's all about getting product to the floor and having it priced. Must have huge sense of urgency and multi tasking skills.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They always worked with my school schedule, lots of work to do to stay busy, co-workers were awesome.

    Cons

Management has some communication issues with new employees, and all of the available services are never really explained to the workers. The customer base is...sketchy to say the least.

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your employees more and understand that a worker with a good state of mind will perform (and stay) longer than an employee ignored because they are in a “bad mood”. Best I can give.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Pay, working environment, and knowledge.

    Cons

Fellow peers, management, the lack of positive motivation while working.

    Advice to Management

I feel as though it is a great place to be whether working or just hanging out with friends that the workers should be more happy. Yes in fact they are at work and have their own personal problems but they should still be happy to be at work and make everyone feel good to be there
