I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    It paid off some bills

    Cons

If you get hurt your encouraged by management and coworkers not to report it, or to wait for a day or two which then after 24 hours Walmart is not liable for the injury (my foot was rand over by a jack, bleach splashed in my eye when the bottom of a box gave out, continually gave me a task that aggravated my back injuries and refused to let me do anything else), never trained on anything and reprimanded for not doing things 'correctly', told by management that if I called off for my family's Christmas party that I would be fired, even though I had requested it off 4 weeks in advance. I was told "we all have to make sacrifices in retail, and if you can't do that you need to rethink your place in retail", kept on part time so that you can not be considered for benefits or over time.

    Advice to Management

Stop telling people not to report injuries, learn people skills, realize retail isn't real life.
