I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits were really good. I loved the discount card you receive after 3 months. Pay was great.

    Cons

Point (attendance) system. you get 4 points in your first 6 months. If you call off 4 times, the fourth time you are fired. Full timers and people there longer than six months get 9 points. When you reach 9 you are fired. They dont take doctors notes and force you to work when sick or you physically cant get to work. Pay was good but not worth the headaches.

    Advice to Management

Take doctors notes and understand that people will get super sick. You can be lenient.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

1- Depending on your location, cashiers can be busy their whole shift which causes time to go by fast.
2- The pay is petty decent for en entry level job
3- If you enjoy speaking with a lot of new people, then you would enjoy being a cashier.

    Cons

Standing alot ; management at my locaton constantly forgot to give breaks ; when its's not busy it can be very boring

    Advice to Management

Try to remeber that the associates you are managing/supervising are working hard just like you and we would like breaks/to get off on time, as well.
