I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Benefits effective day one retroactive

    Cons

Unrealistic demands. Overwhelming workload. Treated very poorly.

    Advice to Management

Don't treat employees with respect. Have unrealistic, overwhelming demands that require a lot of overtime or sets the employee up for failure. I was an hourly employee and fought daily to not work overtime to meet a long list of duties and responsibilities. Management subsequently threatened my job performance.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Okay pay ($11/hour at the time of writing)
Can be fun if coworkers/management are decent people
    Most customers are not rude
Pretty straightforward and doesn't require many skills
    Probably better than unemployment

    Cons

Some customers can be very rude or condescending
Some customers don't talk to you at all (not as bad as rude customers, but somewhat unpleasant)
When it's busy, there can be multiple customers with packed carts
Much of the time, you are either extremely busy or doing almost nothing

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It is great to work with a large staff. Can transfer to any location after 6 months as long as they have an opening.

    Cons

A lot of outside hiring going on. There should've been more inside promotion opportunities.

    Advice to Management

Better communication and development with staff.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Great coworkers at the 2 stores I've worked at
    -Flexible scheduling
    -Clean

    Cons

    -Some bad managers previously
-Not enough people working some positions (people have to fill in other positions in store to keep up)
-Training seems to be more propaganda direction wise rather than teaching more important things besides the companies history.

    Advice to Management

Talk to workers 1 on 1 to help smooth things out in stores
Hire more people for every position, there's always a lack of cashiers open for customers
