I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

With many locations you can transfer to almost anywhere you want to live.

    Cons

This company used to have great core value, but since the death of it founder sadly his beliefs have eroded even though the company claims to still stand by them. Company has become so overly concerned with being diverse in recent years that they often overlook the best candidate for a job when promoting from within.

    Advice to Management

Company is constantly restructuring salaried management team which can leave you with no guarantee of employment or the type of hours you could be working. Revise policies without notice in their favor to minimize what they have to pay you in severance if they decide to do mass layoffs.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good starting wage at $10.00. Don't expect too many hours. Flexible schedule, limited benefits, discount card. Good for supplemental income.

    Cons

No one is on the same page. Too many chiefs and a lot of favortism. Some managers treat employees like crap. Must have plenty of patience to deal with some rude customers. Very stingy with hours.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees like adults not children.
