I worked at Walmart full-time for more than a year
Pros
Flexible hours and great benefits
Cons
No cons at all it was a good place to work
I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 2 years
Pros
Never extremely boring, easy to bond with coworkers, talking with managers is easy.
Cons
Way too many supervisors and managers that walk around making sure people are working instead of helping make sure that the work gets done. Supervisors > Shift managers/department managers > assistant managers > co managers > store manager. Why would you ever need this much management to handle 5-6 kids unloading a truck and stocking shelves
Advice to Management
Ease up on the chain of command. Too many people with big heads walking around
I worked at Walmart part-time for more than 2 years
Pros
Got to meet alot of great honest customers.
Cons
They really and truely value there customers than there employees!!
Advice to Management
Man up!!

I worked at Walmart full-time for more than a year
Pros
despite being alive i can't really see anything great about this store it's probably not all of the walmart stores just the one i was working at.. good benefits friendly co workers.
Cons
horrible supervisors that had no idea how to manage or advise there employees very tight deadlines that would have to be met or it meant being coached... unorganized sneaky at times disrespectful.
Advice to Management
Hire people who actually know how to manage and not just stand around yell and hope for the best.
I worked at Walmart part-time for more than 4 years
Pros
The only pros would be the quarterly small bonus I would get and the 40¢ sodas from the Sam's machines in the break room.
Cons
Everyone wants to move up in the company so they don't have to do any work. Many times as a sales floor/ cashier, I would have to run to four different departments ( makeup, cut keys, fishing licence, toys, ammunition, lawn and garden...) to help customers because no one would be working the entire back-end of the store.
Advice to Management
I don't know how most of you became managers because you are just as rude as the customers. You don't speak to associates or customers. You don't jump in and help out when needed. Go and take a personality attitude adjustment class...

I have been working at Walmart
Pros
Possible transfers, limited discounts, mostly friendly staff
Cons
Secret "penalties" for actually receiving any of their "perks." (set schedule, disability accommodations, LOA, etc.) Rules and management change so often nothing is ever accomplished.
Advice to Management
While upper management brags about "investing in its people," (on in-store televisions that employees have to listen to all day) it fails to add that once the pay went up (because of protests, not because of any concern for its employees), the hours went down leaving the employees with no difference in income at all. Great job Walmart!!! Also, in-store management needs to make sure their rare meetings actually address...
Show MoreI worked at Walmart
Pros
It's a job, which is better than not having one at all
Cons
Never get ft hours although I'm ft, management is not friendly, always working on holidays
Advice to Management
Show respect in order to get it
I worked at Walmart part-time for more than 2 years
Pros
*Hours can be flexible *Okay if you are only looking for part-time work *The majority of the co-workers you can relate with to
Cons
*Hard to get benefits if any *Full-time does not seem to be available *For most employees, it is a dead-end job
Advice to Management
You do not own the company. You are an employee just like the rest of us. Please start listening to your co-workers suggestions.
I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 4 years

A Steady paycheck that is all.
Cons
Too much work and no real support or incentive to keep up the extreme demands

I worked at Walmart part-time for more than a year
Pros
-Most of the co workers are friendly -There is no problem with changing your schedule -Hours are not bad if all you are looking for is part-time work
Cons
-No good benefits -Most cannot get full-time hours -You cannot live off what you are being paid
Advice to Management
Stop acting as if you own the store. You can get fired just like everyone else.
