    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Plenty of opportunities to move up the corporate ladder. There is a Wal-Mart everywhere, so its always easy to relocate.

    Cons

Starting pay is not that great. Sometimes its about who you know when moving up the corporate ladder.

    Advice to Management

The same amount of force you use in disciplinary actions use the same amount of force when showing appreciation to your associates.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The best part about walmart is there is always a change and challenge, between managing employees to dealing with customers and also maintaining the business.

    Cons

There is no support from select management, at the salary point in your career with walmart its about who you know and not your performance. There is never a job or task done good enough and everyone sees this.

    Advice to Management

Learn what you can, enjoy the great associates and customers, expect bad customers and associates, if you have a good store manager enjoy it if you have a bad one which is most likely try to seek out a good manager and transfer stores before its too late.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

After 3 months you get a discount whether you are part-time or full-time.

    Cons

Way too much micro-managing. The managers do not know how to speak to their employees, there is barely any respect for the individual. The managers also reinforce bad behavior from customers by giving them what they want when the are rude and disrespectful.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat your employees better and maybe you would be able to increase morale and they would be happy to work for the company instead of hating to walk into the building.
