I have been working at Walmart full-time

    Pros

Hard work, reliable, attention to detail, following direction, positive attitude are all the things needed to succeed with this company.

    Cons

Employee's with negative attitudes influence new workers some will be like them others will be like me and get a promotion.

    Advice to Management

Set rules, apply them, and don't forget what you want your store to look like both inside and out. Pick your battles get rid of the ones who plant bombs.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

10% discount card and that's it.

    Cons

Worst company to work for. With these minimum wage increases employees who have been there over 5 years are now getting minimum wage, because all their previous wage increase for good performance doesn't get added on top. New employees are getting more than employees who have worked there over 10 years. If you have a doctor's note for being sick, well it's up to the managers whether they want to accept it or not. Cashiers are getting 12 hours a week, and they try to ask for more. Nope, Walmart hires more people instead of taking care or their current employees. Then some employees are part time and work 6 days a week. And don't even think you can get 2 days off in a row.

    Advice to Management

Treat staff better. Encourage and appreciate the staff you have and maybe there won't be such a high turnover rate.

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

the coworkers were so nice. they were all lovely and elderly and so considerate and would often bake for everyone !!
    good pay
    lots of hours

    Cons

There were never enough CSMs (supervisors) so they often promoted people that didn't exactly fit the job
On several occasions I seen managers yell at supervisors until they were in tears for things that they often could not control.
since it's such a large place, people often gossip

I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some perks of working here were getting both job experience and experience using a cash register. You need to be able to learn quick and if you can't, you will learn.

    Cons

Of course with any job there's some bad parts. With a busy store like Walmart you get so many rude customers and I would say that was the worst part.

    Advice to Management

My advice to you would be to become more formal. I thought it was a little weird that only first names were used and never last names.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work part-time but can force longer hours and have checks backup working full time hours
    Training provided 2 weeks
Can be late 15 times in in 2 months
Can miss work without calling for 2-3 weeks
Can get customer complaints and do not care
Can work over your break time if you want
    Everyone is SUPER friendly
Asked to do other jobs rarely to spice things up
Free coffee, fridge, eating area, lockers etc...
10% discount card even with Mcdonald's inside

    Cons

Customer Service Manager (CSM) system is sucky when someone wants a electrical tag off or you make a mistake cashing something out you need to dispatch a csm over the megaphone and sometimes wait with impatience customer for 5 minutes.
    Don't get paid breaks

    Advice to Management

    Great Job!
