I worked at Walmart part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The hours were semiflexible especially since I when I was going to school

    Cons

Management has no clue what is going on. I had diabetes and had not once but twice was forced to stay at my register for 7 hours without any type of break to get food even when I told them I was becoming hypoglycemic. Another time I was written up while I was at the hospital from my illness even though I had called and had a good attendance record. The incompetence doesn't end there as they do not have a concern for... their customers either. One man had a heart attack in front of me and I tried to page a manager. It was 10 at night, but it still took 20 minutes for a single manager or supervisor to show up.

    Advice to Management

Actually put effort into making the store the best it can be. I know there has been a lot of management swapping during and after I left, but it never seemed like anyone stayed around long. If that wasn't a red flag I don't know what is.

I worked at Walmart for more than a year

    Pros

Very Good about working with my school schedule, Decent number of hours for part time (averaged 35 a week).

    Cons

High turnover of management, high associate turnover, base pay is close to nothing as possible, focus is less on customer service more on keeping stock full.

I worked at Walmart full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Getting a job here is easy

    Cons

Management, Pay is low, having you do other jobs that if you were classified as that position you would make more hourly
