I have been working at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Managers work hard. I admire them. They should make more money since this involves a huge responsibility. Thanks, Sam, Ali, and Lataya for being awesome!. and Thanks to HR that also work hard to make happy every single associate.

    Cons

Associates should appreciate the Walmart provide 4 refrigerators, 4 microwaves, mobiles connection, cutlery, free coffee, bananas, disposables plates, in the employees dining room so, they should keep it clean every day.

    Advice to Management

    Keep working hard.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -Two paid 15 minute breaks.
-1 hour lunch (with strings attached, however), which essentially makes the work day 9 hours.
-Yearly bonus (but it is pennies compared to what the company makes in profits).
-Relatively conscious of its environmental footprint.

    Cons

    -Dismal pay.
-Benefits are costly and essentially keep you in poverty and dependent on Walmart products.
-Management is very nitpicky and does everything in their power to drive workers away. Ridiculous turnover rate is due to leadership flaws that go all the way to corporate.
-All other workers, especially on the CAP team, are pessimistic and feel the work is incredibly undignified.
-Corporate management does everything in its power to demean workers.
-Has a shortage of workers on the CAP team, yet expectations to process shipments on time remain unrealistically.

    Advice to Management

All the problems of Walmart are rooted in its corporate management and drive to make disgusting amounts of money for its shareholders (at the cost of its workers). The company makes upwards of $200 billion in a fiscal quarter and barely pays a living wage. Most workers I know that are NOT teenagers or young adults have multiple jobs in addition to Walmart.

Stop being an evil company and reinvest in your workers and surrounding communities. The bottom line isnt worth it.

I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

An hour lunch break and two fifteen minute breaks, ability to schedule yourself in the slot of an open shift (if it's a job you're trained in, of course)

    Cons

Management promotes using favoritism, not according to work ethic or skill level, benefits only for full time employees after meeting a certain number of worked hours

    Advice to Management

Be sympathetic to needs of employees, and stop promoting only those who have formed close friendships with you

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Just enough hours to feel like full-time with zero benefits! Yay! [/sarcasm]
    - Some co-workers were easy to talk to?

    Cons

    - I went to a manager about a co-worker being absurdly rude for no reason. Turns out the manager was dating the co-worker's brother and the co-worker found out. I left because it was an uncomfortable work environment.
    - I got passed up for a promotion for one half-day absence because I got caught in traffic traveling from 5 states away.
    - They scheduled me 35.5 hours a week so they wouldn't have to offer me full-time benefits for 36+ hours

    Advice to Management

Offer full-time to people who need it. I didn't even need the benefits, just the hours. Also, I wish management was a little more understanding that life does come before work and things happen.

    Pros

They were good about giving breaks and If they didn't the register would lock you out. You are guarantee not to work over 40hrs
Work with nice people that are also sales floor associates

    Cons

One hour lunch break may seem nice but I rather do a 30min and go home early but it's against policy.

    NO OVERTIME

    CSMs were power hungry
