I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy to get a lot of hours(varies by store)
    Fast paced
Days go by fast when it's busy
Benefits aren't too bad if you stay long enough

    Cons

Often mind numbingly repetitive, especially if you're on the register all day
If management sees you work hard they give you more responsibility with NO extra pay. Getting a promotion requires waiting for people to quit but there seems to be no limit to what additional training they will give you on tasks that are meant to be done by higher pay grades. I was running service desk, back up csm, and I even helped with the truck a few times on cashier pay. Eventually I would probably have been promoted but I figured it wasn't worth it.

    Advice to Management

    Pay people more fairly.
