Walmart gives out quarterly bonus’s and has great benefits including 401k.

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent company plans are offered. You're co-workers are very kind for the most part and have no problem helping you out when you ask.

    Cons

Management is very disorganized and not much is explained to you until you ask someone very specifically what you want to know and even then they usually won't take the time to properly explain.

    Advice to Management

Managers need to communicate with each other better instead of making employees run around looking for them for 10-20 minutes.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

High wages than minimum wage. Definate flexible hours. Some great benefits like vision and dental. You get a discount after three months of working there

    Cons

Even when you work hard it doesn't get you anything. Some management does acknowledge the work or make broken promises and award the lazy workers

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your associates needs. Like myself I can't survive on less the 32 hour work weeks.

I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Working with the public
    10% discount
    Some shift leaders were cool
    Co workers were awesome

    Cons

Lazy co workers. Worked cap 2 and all we ever heard was go faster! Go faster! If we made the dead line they had all kinds of other stuff for us to do. All in an effort to make it so that the overnight crew would have as little as possible. EVERYDAY! And they say that you can transfer to another position after 6 months but that's not true. If you prove that you can handle the bs they are gonna keep you in your starting position until management changes. In other words, if your manager can depend on you, your not gonna have the chance to leave.

    Advice to Management

When you see employees that are busting their chops for you. Make getting raises easier for them at least.
