I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy to lie low around the store, the store is too large for managers to be on your back all the time.
    Laid-back work environment
Can clock in up to 9 minutes late without penalty
Discount of 10% adds up when you consider you can pretty much buy everything you need there.
Easy to move up the ladder

    Cons

Everyday low prices, everyday low wages.
Ridiculous attendance point system, easy to lose your job for being late or sick a few times within your first 6 months (doctor's notes mean nothing).
Have to be employed for 90 days to be eligible for your discount
Rude, ratchet, annoying customers from time to time (think of the memes they make of the cliché Walmart customers).
New PTO system sucks. Benefits are mediocre.

    Advice to Management

Pay your associates more and give them more leeway with attendance if they're hard workers.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

A well-established system within the company. Continuous (and sometimes, brutal) customer interaction keeps it worth it and interesting. That part of the job is rewarding.

    Cons

It is ridiculously easy for management to forget about the hard workers and take advantage of them simultaneously. On top of that, if you aren't a manager's favorite, you'll never have a chance at a higher position. They will literally see what they want to see. Plus, there is little-to-no training for those looking to move up.

    Advice to Management

How about actually taking a good, close look at your associates before quickly judging them from a 10 second glimpse? There needs to be more of an emphasis on working with them to perform better, instead of disciplining them without granting a single chance.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of benefits even for part time
    Discounts
    Fun
    Friendly not like other jobs
Can easily move up and make more money or earn education and advance within company

    Cons

Can get bored or tired but they give you TWO 15 min paid breaks a day and my Walmart got dunking inside so I get coffee in the morning or on my breaks

    Advice to Management

Listen to associates we sometimes notice things others wouldn't and listen to customers at the end of the day without they business we wouldn't get paid

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

As long as you do your job and keep your nose clean, it's a good company

    Cons

Don't seem to have all the tools you need to do the job. Also some favoritism depending whose on.

    Advice to Management

Less favoritism more reviews of Asst. Managers and Support Managers done by the ASSOCIATES.

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Not really any pros aside from making a bit of extra money at the time so I can buy some things myself.

    Cons

Rude customers, being expected to know everything about the store when I was completely unfamiliar with it, overall a hostile work environment for autistic people. Never working there again.

    Advice to Management

I don't have any advice except make things more accomodating for autistic workers like me, it was terrible there
