I have been working at Walmart full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They better than most companies an hour lunch and two 15 min breaks All employees are able to receive a bonus and yearly raises. Promotions are easy to obtain.

    Cons

Lack of communications between management to employees Disorganized stores Not everyone plays as a team and without team work everything will fail. They expect you to do manager obligations without additional pay or promotions. No training at least for the first couple of months IF in management. Absolutely no hands on training. The training is all online and once you have completed the online courses, you're on your own unless someone is willing to help you. Depending on management, they would rather coach you out the door than to teach you the process (goes hand in hand with team work) The work ethic in a lot of employees are lacking there of. The managers take advantage of associates with great work ethics.

I worked at Walmart full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

They are always hiring. Pay is a little better than minimum wage. Flexible schedules.

    Cons

Upper management is absolutely clueless. They don't value good workers, and reward the ones they don't like with better jobs or departments. The don't care if you have a doctors note for rare absences, you will still be coached (wrote up). The will work you as many hours as they can, for 9-10 days in a row and then have you in their books as part time. That way they owe you no benefits. They under staff and then expect the current employees to work twice as hard. Earned raises are barely anything. Management likes to disappear when an upset customer appears. They will offer you to come in on your day off for overtime, but then will make you shave it off Friday night. The insurance is expensive and terrible.
