I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There were a few cool people in the bottom rungs

    Cons

the pay was pathetic, management is completely insane and borderline abusive to employees, they have no concern for the well-being of their employees. they have no respect for their employees. this was the worst job I ever had with no close competition for the title.

    Advice to Management

Try treating your employees like human beings, as opposed to livestock.

    Pros

    -Friendly Atmosphere
-Good co-workers for the most part.
-Laid out tasks ahead of time
-It was relatively close where I lived

    Cons

-The hours were pretty excruciating for me. As a temp, I didn't know they could work someone for 10 hours every single day. So it was quite a challenge and I had a big unbalance of work/life.

    Advice to Management

I can't really think of anything. Management was reasonable.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They get an "A" for avoidance. There are many rules and regulations in place for the employee to "help themselves".

    Cons

When it comes to management you have to take the good with the bad. Especially considering you have up to 4 different people to answer to at any given time, all of whom requiring contradictory requirements. It is very frequent for management to give unreal expectations to encourage the employee's efforts.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is to hold the right people accountable for a situation. I have seen way to many managers ignore laziness because of their friendship with the employee. To do this, management needs to start investing problem situations that happen repeatedly

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Stable working environment. Easy to move up with plenty of room from company to company for growth.

    Cons

Management can be very hard to become helpful in your career most people would stay entry level stockers because years ago they offered Marit based raises.

    Advice to Management

Pay department managers a higher wage it was a joke we would get a .40 cent raise for taking on all the responsibility

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Not difficult to get hired if desperate.

    Cons

Lack of pay, hours, benefits, respect. No objective assessments. I was fired over supposed urine stains even though I could not prevent other employees from using the bathroom just after I had cleaned it. They literally pooped all over my work, management did nothing when I raised the issue and I was fired because the restroom did not magically stay clean afterward.

    Advice to Management

Management is self-concerned and wouldn't take my advice if offered. They know what they do is wrong, they just don't care about anything but protecting their own scraps.
