I worked at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

hour lunch breaks, co workers & thats about it.

    Cons

crappy pay, low pay raises, management. inconsistent hours- one week i could have 16 hours the next 31. hire more help. in my old store one associate was responsible for several different areas. rude customers!!! favoritism! some team members don't work as hard as others do. management treat you like crap!

corporate keeps changing the rules and that causes a miscommunication among management and employees.

impossible to get full time status. healthcare too expensive especially for not being full time.

    Advice to Management

treat your employees with respect & care a little more about them

    Pros

If your looking for a lot of hours, you'll get it. Management is very kind to everyone. lots of hours. they usually work you for every day in your availability.

    Cons

very difficult to get off even if you ask a over a month in advance. The schedule is always posted for the 3 following weeks. difficult to find someone to work for you when you can't. They don't care if you say you only want 6 hours shifts they will schedule you for 9.

    Advice to Management

more leniency for time off. I am in college so when i ask off its usually to go home and see my family i never get to see and i never get it off.
