I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

High paying, Great attendance policy, good bonus system, cheap insurance, good pay raise system, fair production goals, mostly good management.

    Cons

Lack of communication, LACK OF AIR CONDITIONING(!!!), Things change and you hear from word of mouth and never know what's true.

    Advice to Management

all changes to policy should be communicated. Let people volunteer for grass roots as it is currently random and some of us have ideas.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

it was nice having fellow associates that work together it was like a second family in the store i may not work there anymore due to mgmt issues, but i still talk to majority of my coworkers

    Cons

it depends on management sometimes u have a good team of mgmt other times u do not i suggest if u go to walmart learn the management and who will actually help you versus the ones that will not. The problem i had was over the lack of hours if u talk to right ones they will give u extra hours where the others will not and u are down to 12 hours or less its crazy and its just getting worse

    Advice to Management

if u want associates to stay in your store treat them like actual people not work animals i promise respect goes a long way people might actually stay if u have respect for everyone not just other management

    Pros

Never the same task each day

    Cons

schedules change every week, never any consistent hours. Too many people in charge more management than employees and the direction changes costantly with no manager on the same page.

    Advice to Management

Consistent schedule, managers should have the same goals for the day and have one point person to complete daily task

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

To my surprise, the managers were all really caring people (outside of a select few). I really enjoyed who I worked with and it was actually a fun job.

    Cons

Really low pay, and, even though I said it was fun, they work you like a dog. Not very flexible with employees. Missing because of a doctors appointment still counts as a regular missed day, so if you get seriously sick you should expect to lose your job.

    Advice to Management

Don’t be as unfair with missed days. Up the pay a little
