    Pros

Decent pay for the level of complexity of work--which isn't very complex.

    Cons

It's basically moving furniture. You're gone a lot, about 80% overnight.

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It payed well for an entry level job, and it provided good experience in multiple areas of the store with abilities to branch out.

    Cons

it could be a bit stressful a times, making sure the floor was stocked on time with quality products that the customers would be satisfied with. And of course the oven could get hot.

    Advice to Management

Not really much to say, department heads kept things in order and mostly made sure associates were comfortable with their job. keep up the good work

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They advertise Flexible hours, above average wages. teaching and training,

    Cons

If you don't have an open availability you don't get hours even if your full time example- you must have 7 days a week open 6 a.m.-11 p.m. You can also be coached at anytime for anything. Managers are to quick to coach. They forget that they are messing with people's lively hoods. They do now start at
     $12.00 hr

    Advice to Management

Remember!!! You too were a Co Manager!!!

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

the 401 is the only reason worth working there if you can even afford to pay into it

    Cons

automated systems make management useless unless you're part of the "in crowd"

It's literally an adult day care and felt as if a continuation of high school which even the older employees loved taking part in

If you've shopped in one you know they're all the same and it can be said for working there as well having experienced time in multiple locations my personal experience and communications with other employees has verified this

I thought if I only worked in departments where I was never on the sales floor for very long i'd be able to tolerate limited interaction with the most vile examples of humanity but there is no escape from them and the torment you will forced to smile through

rules are selectively enforced with a do as i say not as i do mentality that is widespread at every level of the "chain o' command" making the open door policy worthless compiled with gossip compromising any level of secrecy you might expect in a professional setting

    Advice to Management

    destroy the machine
