I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My experience with working here ranges far and wide. I can do pretty much anything in any part of the store. I'm cross-trained like you wouldn't believe. However, as far as working in the eCommerce department goes, that primarily consists of filling orders for customers, quality checking them as I go, handling escalations and inquires from customers, supervising my dispensing associates to ensure we push the orders out to the customers in a timely manner, etc. There's a lot of heavy lifting involved in this job believe it or not. I have to use the forklift on a daily basis to fly down pallets of merchandise from the top shelf so that I can ensure my customers get the exact items they ordered. A good understanding of technology(computers, smartphones) also plays a big role in the job. All-in-all, I wouldn't trade my experience from working here for the world. I feel like it's set me up for success in my future endeavors!

    Cons

Like all jobs, people who don' want to work make things much harder, and I feel as though there's more of those people at Walmart than other jobs. At times, the department is heavily reliant on the other parts of the store. We need THEM to keep merchandise in stock, and make sure all of their on-hands are correct. Now, in a perfect world, this would be the case, but... Anyway, customers can also be an issue , of course. Our numbers are very important, and the most important stat those numbers is CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) Score. The problem here, is, customers will complain in post-order surveys about things that are completely out of our hands as Pick Up associates, such as not having an item in stock because the other departments didn't correct their on-hands , among other issues.
