I have been working at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Much higher starting pay rates. A lot of advancement opportunities. A decent benefits package.

    Cons

Have to work a lot of the holidays. Always have to end a meeting with the Walmart cheer.

    Advice to Management

I've worked with a lot of talented managers, but some still need to work on their communication. Stop making us do the cheer, no one likes it and it doesn't boost the morale.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall experience in retail and customer service, co-workers (depending on your location),

    Cons

    Management, low morale, promotion opportunities

    Advice to Management

Listen to the voice of your sales associates. They interact with customers at a higher consistency than you do, and have insight to possible solutions (to customer satisfaction, zoning, floor maintenance) that you might not see. Many have a good sense of what is going on and have valuable information to give you. Trust them.
