    Pros

Their good for a job or stepping stone to better things, good for a paycheck I guess.

    Cons

Their too big to function on a individual basis. So don't count on fairness or common sense.

    Advice to Management

Not that it would matter. But remember that u were once at a lower status of living. Those working under you are people as well, not your door mat.

I worked at Walmart (More than a year)

    Pros

Depends on what Walmart. I worked at a bigger Walmart in North 98 Lakeland Fl . I loved it. I worked hard like a Freight Train. I loved being busy. I could take my 15 mins break if I wanted to. I rarely worked over, always completed my double work load, happily. Worked 6 straight days with out a day off only twice in 18 months. Mainly worked my expected non changing schedule 6 am -3 pm I received pay raises twice in 18 months! Loved my schedule . Management Rocks at this store! They do care about their employees! This Walmart is a Grade A work place

    Cons

. Never transfer to a smaller store. They will work you triple the work load. If you work over and you will. You will have to some how in this roller coaster work day get your work load done and cut off those hours. Very stressful. Most of the workers are unhappy with management. It was not uncommon for them to schedule people 8 days + before a day off! And do it against your wishes. They will disregarded work availability statement form even when it was signed by employee and top management.. They scheduled what they wanted to schedule. Does not respect its workers. ( . Management does not inspect the quality of the baked goods that are put on Fresh Baked shelves or Baskets. Walmart could make more money than they do from this store but from management to the lower levels mediocre is ok. .. . They don't care to see sales soar! I grade it D. I walked out after seeing how they really operated.

    Advice to Management

And finally Pride comes before the Fall!

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Loved working with people and fulfilling their needs . Sold exercise equipment, guns and ammo, fishing poles and accessories, hunting licences, knives, scopes, rifles, roller blades and all sporting equipment and accessories, even bicycles and accessories, golf equipment and accessories to customer of all ages and groups. I was the only one out of all the shifts to receive the gun badge and be certified to sell guns, ammo and the like. I also was the person who sold the most hunting and fishing licenses in one year.

    Cons

The nightly restocking of the shipment per department. but it was doable.

    Advice to Management

I was fast becoming a assist manager trainee, per my dept manager, at that time, but moved out of state first.

I have been working at Walmart (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Walmart prepared me handle and relate with customers, which I am proud to say that I have never had a customer complaint.

    Cons

Honestly, I really don't have many complaints except that respecting an employee when they have a problem with something or someone, that they follow through and see what's going on.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Wal Mart is a good place to work if your just starting a career. They will train you for the job you will be doing. Wal Mart is always hiring at some of thier stores.

    Cons

The benefits such as health care coverage is not that good. To start out a lot of the jobs are evening or night shifts.

    Advice to Management

Offer better health care coverage for all your employees. Offer more benefits to more employees and better pay for night shifts.
