I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Work with great people. Everyone has potential to become management.
We earn quarterly bonuses based on sales, profit, accidents, and score cards.
Great starting wage around this area of $11.
If you work hard and are friendly within your area ya should do great.

    Cons

Managers are hypocrites. They preach to say hi or can I help you if anyone’s within ten feet of me, but THEY do not practice this rule at all.
And most are just not friendly to us associates.

    Advice to Management

Be humble, remain friendly no matter what, speak to associates because a lot of us have college degrees, life experience, and worked as Mngmnt before.
You’ll never know unless you speak to us!

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    - vacation time has increased over the years
    - 401k match
    - transfer opportunities for hourly associates (not salaried)

    Cons

    - company is losing it's value of treating employees right. we're just metric pushers now. every quarter, help is reduced, expectations are increased followed by emails threatening termination if the unreasonable goals are not met. we might as well change our name to cvs.
    - for salaried members, you better be friends outside work with upper management to get a transfer. preferred positions/locations are reserved for their friends.
-there is no work-life balance they claim. not being available to work over time negatively affects your evaluation. as a parent, i am required to neglect my children on my days off if i want a fair evaluation. this is how pay inequality is propagated in 2018 America.

    Advice to Management

    - be objective and reasonable
