I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I was hired as part time employee, but I had sometimes 40 hours to work a week. That’s only positive thing happened with me there.

    Cons

I’ve never seen a place to work that if you leave early (even your managers know about it), you will get points. These points works this way: employee under 6 months which have 4 points will be terminated. This is ridiculous! I can’t believe this exist in big company like Walmart.
Also When you request time off, they don’t give it to you.

    Advice to Management

I heard a lot bad histories about how Walmart treats your employees. I got luck to work in ok store, but besides these points, you guys need to be flexible with schedule. There’s a lot employees don’t work on weekends and they always scheduled me to work on weekends and take care of sales floor and background.

I worked at Walmart as an intern (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Tennessee and California can combine. I love Portland and the Boston Port. Florida is possibly rising

    Cons

Away from Boston, Massachusetts. Vancouver is away and it is better to use just the Seattle Port.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A great opportunity to learn, empathize and possibly even help the often times marginalized and downtrodden workers of this despot totalitarian regime.

    Cons

Constant walls to progress hinder our daily work and make life difficult and often times barely manageable. A culture mired in quagmire of red tape, relentless retaliation against its own and proud of its own arrogance and ability to deceive the masses. Regardless of the position, or years of service, corruption and greed are the hall marks of this corporation.

    Advice to Management

Sam Walton would roll in the grave if he knew how management has decimated the values he stood for during his tenure.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It built me as far as being patient, staying calm and productive under pressure yet executing tasks with sense of urgency

    Cons

Management. Retaliation and favoritism is seen.. very very discouraging

    Advice to Management

Lead by example... no shortcuts and train yourself before you try and train a hopeful associate that is eager and willing to advance their Walmart career. Always stay professional.. do not try and make friends with everybody. Lead by example
