I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

EMPLOYMENT IS THE ONLY POSITIVE PART OF WORKING AT WALMART

    Cons

EVERYTHING! This company treats employees like garbage, like we are all disposable! Management is a joke, hard work only gets you more hard work, but kissing up and acting like the management is the best thing since sliced cheese gets you moving up the ladder quickly.

    Advice to Management

Treat others as you'd like others to treat you.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some of the best reasons I found to work at Walmart, was that if you could tough out some of the tougher customers and tough out some of the even tougher managers who seemed to be having bad days all of the time and stressed out, then you'd be fine! The co-workers were generally all willing to help out when needed and came together so that you could accomplish your goals.

    Cons

Heavy Workloads dumped onto one person, management sometimes take frustrations out on the lower employees, angry customers and faulty equipment that would sometimes work and sometimes not work.

    Advice to Management

Try to be equal across the board. Some of the management treat employees great! Others only gave their friends compliments and whatnot. Overall, it was a moderate experience.

I worked at Walmart (Less than a year)

    Pros

Tools and resources to grow are basically thrown at you and growth is almost a guarantee if you care about your job

    Cons

The majority of employees hired are just there to collect a check and have no regard for the store or customers well being or safety.

    Advice to Management

Be more thorough in the interview process and to weed out the apathetic applicants.
