I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They can afford to pay better than minimum wage but they will never do so.

    Cons

Poor Time and schedule management, claim to be a great team environment which is false, they take advantage of hourly employees every chance they get.

    Advice to Management

Arrange the schedules around the delivery better. Make sure to have enough people on the Cap team shift for unloading the truck.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

A great opportunity to learn, empathize and possibly even help the often times marginalized and downtrodden workers of this despot totalitarian regime.

    Cons

Constant walls to progress hinder our daily work and make life difficult and often times barely manageable. A culture mired in quagmire of red tape, relentless retaliation against its own and proud of its own arrogance and ability to deceive the masses. Regardless of the position, or years of service, corruption and greed are the hall marks of this corporation.

    Advice to Management

Sam Walton would roll in the grave if he knew how management has decimated the values he stood for during his tenure.

    I worked at Walmart full-time

    Pros

Benefits are offered and room for advancement.

    Cons

Micromanaging is a big thing for all managers. This doesn't happen to just one store, it happens everywhere because that is what they're trained to do. A few employees have gotten injured multiple times on the job because they work you to the bone and no appreciation from any upper management. Black friday is the worst day of your life. No time with your family for the holidays and 10% discount is offered (total). Horrible experience and horrible company to work for.
