I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is room for growth here. There are many possible ways to go with this corporation.

    Cons

Although walmart started out being a family 5 and dime but it has grown into a huge conglomeration. The problem sometimes it's that you lose the personal part of the business that believe that walmart has lost.

    Advice to Management

Upper management needs to look at who they are promoting.

I worked at Walmart full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The truth is that there are definitely opportunities to move up. Several managers came up to me telling me that they were going to do everything they could to get me into their department where my skills would be better suited. If you work hard the managers who matter will notice. There was even a man from home office who came out and noticed my work ethic right away.

    Cons

My department manager made it his life purpose to keep me in his rotation because I was one of the few who had a good work ethic. Eventually I got out of the hole and into a better position.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company was a great place to work. The benefits were super awesome, and the environment was high pace.

    Cons

I felt like they only offered management positions to their relatives and not to people who actually deserve the position. I sometime felt like their was alot of favoritism towards hispanics when it came to handing out promotions. I felt like I had to beg to get fulltime while others had it handed to them on a silver platter.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The environment is friendly, and clean. There is a lot of room for promotions and such. They work with your school schedule or whatever other accommodations you may need. The hours are good, and you get raises often.

    Cons

Having a heavy workload, and dealing with some unruly customers. Overnight hours are a lot if you are a stocker.
