I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great hours, was getting 40 hours a week
Good pay, was only 18 years old and was only there 6 months but i got paid $12.90/hr.

    Cons

Management can be very rude and disrespectful.
No help in the money center, i was often alone every single shift 8+hours.
Never got breaks was often standing 5 hours straight.
Management ignores your calls for help despite angry customers and extremely long lines.
Every manager keeps their head down trying to not look anyone in the eye to try to ignore the long lines.

    Advice to Management

Don't play favorites, instead pay attention to your hard workers!
    Be nicer to your employees.

I worked at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent company plans are offered. You're co-workers are very kind for the most part and have no problem helping you out when you ask.

    Cons

Management is very disorganized and not much is explained to you until you ask someone very specifically what you want to know and even then they usually won't take the time to properly explain.

    Advice to Management

Managers need to communicate with each other better instead of making employees run around looking for them for 10-20 minutes.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

There are not too many pros for working for this company unless you are salary. Only flexible schedule. I cant think of many pros for this company but I have to have at least twenty words

    Cons

TERRIBLE Pay, lazy managers, rude customers, short staffed, extreme favoritism, no work and life balance. Too many ineffective new rules

    Advice to Management

Stop trying to keep all the money for yourselves! Hire more people stop cutting hours! Be more empathetic! Raise the pay for Cashiers because they have the WORST JOB IN THE STORE!

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you are going to school they work around your schedule. Full time has secured hours and even when I was part time I never had trouble getting 40 hours a week plus overtime during holidays if you wanted it. I've been able to transfer to other stores with very little hassle and doing so got me promoted because there was more opportunities where I went.

    Cons

They will expect a lot from you even if you haven't been trained correctly. Call out will leave you short handed and you are expected to pick up the slack and blame can be thrown your way if certain things do not get done. Working overnight used to pay a little more but they stopped that and it is very hard to transfer to a day time shift from overnight unless you are being promoted which is kind of difficult because they daytime managers don't see how much work you put in.

    Advice to Management

Manage your team better and get what you can done and not expect miracles where they can't happen.
