I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and opportunities for growth and promotion. The company adapts well to change and expects this of all associates and management as well. Helping our local community through our work.

    Cons

Leaders of the past could be abrasive and unethical, but many of them have been eliminated from the company due to a renewed focus on respect for the individual. Work life balance also can be a challenge.

    Advice to Management

Be open to change and be a student of the company. Be fair in all of your dealings with associates and customers. You will do well.

I worked at Walmart full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great growth possibilities for people who like the retail business and have a serious work ethic. Every day was a new adventure, no day was the same. Time just seemed to fly by there due to the workload.

    Cons

Really didn't see any downsides to the job, but that's probably due to my work ethics. I left my personal life at home and was all business when I came to work.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff, and don't take advice as a critic. Don't take your personal problems with you to work and treat everyone with the utmost of respect.
