I have been working at Walmart (More than a year)

    Pros

A lot of the management are really good people who want to see you succeed.

    Cons

Having to deal with customers at Walmart can be a definite con.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I received money in exchange for working.

    Cons

Literally anything and everything else; inconsistent hours and schedule, treated like garbage by customers and management alike, pay is too low to live on, etc.

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees like people.

    I worked at Walmart part-time

    Pros

I actually liked the fact that I was just a number and not a human being. Also, I liked having a 10% discount on everything in the store (as long as it wasn't a clearance item or tobacco or alcohol)

    Cons

They do not care about you. They expect you to work outside of the hours you specified when hired. If you do not, they will find a way to fire you. Other employees take 30 minute breaks, and they get away with it, so that will become annoying. The pay is terrible (of course, it's retail). If you have children, not the best place to work at all. If some member of management for some reason dislikes you, you will end up fired.

    Advice to Management

Don't play favorites. Give raises. Treat employees like real people.
