I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Well the best reason is that they offer scholarships and give you opportunity to get your high school diploma.

    Cons

They take advantage of you by not being their for you when management is wrong, some of the Walmart doesn't want to pay you more money meaning the extra work that you do.

    Advice to Management

Always make sure that your workers are happy never make them feel less of a person. And also never thank that you don't be wrong in anyway.

I have been working at Walmart (More than a year)

    Pros

I do not work for corporate....but the job is as easy as easy can get. They allow you to switch departments and see what works for you. I started as a cashier and I loved it at first. Now I work customer service and I love it

    Cons

Our hourly pay is bs due to the fact that we RUN this trillion dollar companies business and don't even get a full time position. They are extremely unorganized and will not work with your schedule. Our lines are always to the back because they don't pur anyone one on the schedule. I work by myself almost everyday meaning late or no break at all because no one can replace me. I could go on but you get it.

    Advice to Management

Learn some respect for your workers. Figure out what you're doing.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Quarterly bonuses, holiday pay, 10% discount, flexible schedules. Also, Wal-Marts are everywhere so you can transfer any time you want if you want to move or something.

    Cons

Very LOW pay! No set schedules, it changes every week. They do NOT want to hire anybody full-time. They also hate when you limit your availability(like you have no life). Management is awful and doesn't care about you.

    Advice to Management

Learn to value your associates. Don't treat them like crap then expect them to be all happy-go-lucky with customers. Also, pay people more! Minimum wage is NOT exceptable for such a huge rich company.
