    Pros

Opportunity to grow within the company gives way to advancement for everyone. Walmart continues to advance with the times with technology given to the stores to help support the process.

    Cons

No Work life balance for Store level Management & no consistent expectations with multiple people giving different opinions on how things should be done.

    Advice to Management

Consistency at all levels is a challenge. Many opinions and thoughts from multiple leaders. OBW, is it truly supported?

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Multi unit experience, most store level managers want to do the right thing. Each market is managed differently, expectations and experience will be different depending on what area of the county you are in.

    Cons

Organization is top heavy. Micro managed, terminate large numbers of people with little to no warning. Excessive number of people trying to give direction, often conflicting messages to the field. Exception and tour based corrections and evaluations.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay I think is very good and the jobs are pretty easy

    Cons

Wal-Mart dosn't respect us. Wal-Mart has a new customers first scheduleing system thats supose to help with our customer service and help fix the schedules of the employees that don't have a fixed schedule. Well I had a fixed schedule until this new system. Now i'm supose to be available whenever the system says. My normal days off are no more. How do you schedule doctors appointments or vacations when your days off are always different This is not right. How is that solving the problem

    Advice to Management

Start treating your employees with respect. You know like you would want to be treated. We have feelings and deserve to be treated like we matter. At our store in columbus, nebraska us employees feel pretty helpless. What can we do about this mistreatment. How are we to help the customers with a smile when wal-mart has us all feeling depresed and hurt because you took away our fixed two days off and make us feel like we don't matter and we don't deserve to have the same days off. Wal-Mart dosn't care that we have familys and a life outside of wal-mart. We are supose to be available all the time because customers first. Well without us there would not be any customers. treating us like dirt is that what Sam Walton would want. I DON"T THINK SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes they prefer to play smoke and mirror when it comes to issues

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Advancement opportunities, full time hours, customer interactions, fair compensation, plenty of work, always interesting , health benefits and paid time off

    Cons

Under staffed 94% of the time. Inventory replenishment system needs improvement desperately

    Advice to Management

It would be wise to make a very small investment into staffing the stores better. This would improve customer and associate satisfaction by keeping shelves stocked, being available to help customers, especially in service departments, and would improve your employee retention.
