    Pros

Co-workers, decent pay, can easily move up, benefits

    Cons

    Crazy schedules, favoritism, under appreciated

    Advice to Management

Please learn to talk to the associates better. Some management are quick to snap, and have terrible attitudes towards many, for even the smallest things.

    Pros

A pretty secure job if you don't mind working and are not a slacker.
Opportunities to advance to upper levels of management with no college degree.
You can make a decent salary when you advance in the company.

Sometimes doesn't show enough appreciation for hard working employees.
You work most major holidays and don't get any holiday pay.
Too much blame from one shift to another, nobody seems to be on the same page.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your employees have the necessary tools and equipment each day in order to get their jobs done.

I worked at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You'll gain some experience in the retail environment

    Cons

Too many cons for this position at this specific Walmart at least. Their expectations are way too high for the amount of employees they have; there's only about 10-12 cap 2 workers when we're supposed to have about 20. They expect you to be super man and do everything within an unrealistic time limit that is too short and without too much help. Watch out for some of the supervisors because they're lazy pieces of crap let me tell you; I'm not saying this to make them sound bad it's just true. You'll see who I'm talking about. All they like to do is bark orders at you and not step in and help out once in a while.

The pay is terrible for the work that we do $9.75/ hr it's just not worth it. I'd keep looking for a different job or department in Walmart. Cap 2 is not the way to go. Realized that mistake on day 1. I was only there for almost 3 months and already knew I had to get out of there so I luckily found a better job and left.

    Advice to Management

Get your crap together. Why don't you guys actually step in and help the team out instead of barking orders And making their days miserable. It's just going to want to make more good people less motivated to do an already exhausting job and quit. do something about that and maybe things will turn out better. If you actually raised the pay more people will be motivated to work even harder but I know that's not going to happen.

    Pros

Great Discount on Wireless Services, Hotels, Vacations.
    4week vacation from the start.
    Useful technological tools
    Great Processes

    Cons

Store Managers and District Managers that have been there too long, seem to have lost values from years ago.

    Advice to Management

RVP must listen more to assistants, and hourly associates...the core of the business, Store Managers and Market Managers get away with disrespecting employees and creating a toxic work environment...Out with the Old and in with the new.

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good management salary, yearly bonus based on sales, profit, customer survey. 4% yearly rrsp. Salary managers start with 3 weeks vacation and get 4 weeks at 5 years. 4 leave health and dental benefit package. Company keeps up with change in the retail market and is not going anywhere. Most associates and managers are easy to work with creating a positive atmosphere.

    Cons

Most weeks have to work more then 45 hours to keep up with demand because you are salary you are not compensated for extra time. 95% of the time more work load then associate in your team to set you up for success. Very thankless job. Company is turning away for Sam Walton's vision for the company every year its less and less about the 3 basic beliefs. Respect for the individual, service to our customers, strive for excellence.

    Advice to Management

Stay positive, don't lose your integrity, treat associates like humans don't lose that aspect of the company.
