I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Management is always encouraging and appreciates all employees. When help is needed for whatever need not just management but any employee is always there to help. A comfortable reassuring place to work. Groton Connecticut.❤I love my job.

    Cons

If your a dependable employee you'll never see any cons. Its like having a family working at Wal-Mart

    Advice to Management

Although giving pins to those employees that deserve recognition has been removed. A new incentive for good work done would be favorable. Maybe a parking space designed for employee of the month.❤

I have been working at Walmart full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

At the present time there is no best reason to work at Walmart unless you have no other place to go to get Minimum wage.

    Cons

You are treated very badly. Associates are leaving in record numbers. New hires stay about a month. Long time Associates are Capped in there Hourly pay. No pay raises for them.

    Advice to Management

Give the long term associates a decent raise every year and stop capping their pay. That year end bonus does not make up for the loss each year.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    You get exercise, I guess.

    Cons

Make you work when the weather outside is terrible. Even though you say you put in to work part-time they give you the hours of a full-time employee. Supervisors don't care how physically and mentally drained you get.

    Advice to Management

More flexible hours that doesn't want to make one pass out from the stress.

I have been working at Walmart part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I had A lot of friendly coworkers. I get along with everyone pretty well. They're like a second family to me.

    Cons

-work 40 hours, still considered part time.
-always short staffed. They never hire enough people or they never put them on the schedule.
-the "bonuses" are not worth it because they cut your hours to make up for that extra money they gave away. You can go from having 40 hours one week to 16 the next.
-too stingy with their money. Not allowed any overtime. You get in trouble if you are. And you're not allowed to go over your scheduled hours even if you're not at 40. They calculate how many minutes you're over and make you lose them.
    -no holiday pay.
-favoritism from management. You could ask for something and they tell you no. But they'll do it for someone else.

    Advice to Management

Stop being cheap. And treat your workers fairly.
